Machine Design
The Ocean Liberator features a rigid heavy duty
frame welded frame that easily mates to a variety of automatic
or manual in-feed and out-feed conveyors.
This solid frame provides the rigid platform
from which the fully articulated 5-axis torch is driven,
ensuring accurate and repeatable copes and cuts in a variety of
profiles.
The torch uses a 5-axis fully articulated
cutting torch, which allows it to cut from any angle in any
surface, easily allowing bevel cuts in both the web and the
flanges, something that more expensive multi-head machines are
unable to do.
The coping machine is equipped with a heavy-duty automatic
igniter for simple automatic ignition with 2 igniting electrodes
A handheld remote pendant allows fine-tuning of
the cutting gap and travel speed, and provides the operator
freedom of movement during cutting

The Liberator cuts steel fast, cutting at speeds of up
to 22 inches per minute depending on material thickness and
hardness, type of gas, flame adjustments, and other factors, and
has a fast positioning
speed of up to 100 feet per minute.
Programming your Beam Coping Machine
The cut pattern
may be selected from standard "canned" routines or may be
custom designed to your specific application and requirement. A
fully functional CAD design system is included with the machine.
This software features a fully programmable
macro library can be saved for later usage and allows fast and
simple editing of profiles and cuts.
Most importantly, the
software is very user-friendly and is easily integrated into any
structural steel shop!
A robust yet inexpensive off-the-shelf PC
provides the computing brain power and ensures maximum up time.
The software is seamlessly compatible with
most DSTV (*.NC1) format CAD detailing programs for easy
downloading.
